Some kind of seriously gross (but also fascinating) looking grub.

Yesterday we spent the morning (6am-12pm) weighing 2000 lambs.

I also had our pets weighted out of curiosity.  Top prize went to Skinny @ 53 kilos!

The sea lion tour is cancelled for today (as it’s gnarly weather out there).

Update: Little Wren has made it through 3 nights!

Apparently little wrens stay with their mum and dad for a year after hatching.  They help feed the next chicks, and clean the nest along side mum, dad, and the aunts.  He’s funny pooping! He puts his bum up in the air, so that we can take care of it for him.  A few turds have been launched at us, which had us both laughing pretty wildly!

We won’t know the sex for a few weeks when it’s begun to fly.

He was found at B & T’s so I’m quite excited that we’ve just had a little flock of wrens set up shop in our yard.  Here’s to hoping that our little one has a family to connect with when it’s time to fly!
